IN CAMERA / LONG EXPOSURE

Let movement
leave a trace.

Explore how an extended exposure records changing light. Plan the scene, steady the camera and experiment with what moves through the frame.

Check your setup: exposure control, tripod and a suitable light source.

IN CAMERA / ARRANGE THE SCENE

Play with
what lines up.

Viewpoint and framing can change the apparent scale or relationship of objects. The experiment starts with how you position the camera and the scene.

Check your setup: a controllable viewpoint, suitable subjects and room to rearrange them.

POST-PRODUCTION / WORK WITH THE IMAGE

Continue the
experiment in editing.

Explore image manipulation, panoramas and HDR alongside the shooting techniques. Some demonstrations use older Adobe software.

Check your setup: appropriate editing software and a willingness to adapt older interface examples.

Shooting + post-production

Find out where
the effect happens.

Some ideas come from the shutter speed or where you stand. Others continue after the photograph is taken.

The guide covers both sides: light painting, night and motion ideas, perspective experiments and image-editing techniques.

Clear answers to help you choose the right resource for your project.

Are all the effects made in Photoshop?

No. The guide covers both in-camera techniques and post-production. Light painting and perspective experiments involve how you shoot, while other effects use editing. Check the requirements for the particular technique before setting up.

Is this AI image-generation training?

No. It is about photographic techniques and image editing. The experiments are based on using a camera, arranging a scene or manipulating photographs, rather than creating images from generative AI prompts.

Does it teach the current Photoshop version?

The published material includes demonstrations from older Photoshop and Photoshop Elements versions. Concepts may still be useful, but menus, tools and interfaces can differ; this should not be purchased as current-version software training.

Can I follow everything with a phone?

Do not assume so. Some ideas may transfer, but techniques can require manual exposure control, long shutter times, accessories or editing tools. It is not presented as a dedicated phone photography course.

Are the book, camera and props physical products?

This offer is for digital instructional material, including an ebook and video content. A camera, tripod, lighting, props, software and printed book are not supplied through this page.

What should I check before choosing it?
